AMELIE CAYRE


Amélie has been working for be able since 2017. In April 2019 she graduated with a Master in Product Design from the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee. In her projects she often works with people who have no connection to design, because she is interested in dissolving the boundaries of design and making it accessible to everyone. These were also groundbreaking for her final project "Ick hab Knast!" for her master's thesis in the prison of Berlin-Lichtenberg. In the course of a cooking project with female inmates the first part of a cookbook was created. Since then, her personal interest lies in eating and cooking rituals and their social aspect. For this reason she founded her studio for ceramics and food design in 2019. At studio w/o she experiments with food (baking, fermentation, ...) and ceramics. She also organizes food events like workshops and small catering.
