In the input workshop “in the blind spot” we went on a trip with industrial design students of Burg Gibichenstein College of Art and Design in Halle. On this excursion we travelled around the borders of our existing orientation systems and perceptions in order to explore our blind spots. At first, students took contact with people with disabilities and experts who work in the field through interviews. Then, they started to construct empathy tools and self-awareness tools, to experience physical restriction by themselves. The focus of the workshop was placed on gaining experiences and experimenting disabilities through various approaches, in order to reveal new perspectives on this subject.
